JAKARTA – Satu minggu pasca-merilis 2U, pada 9 Juni 2017, David Guetta langsung merajai sejumlah tangga musik dunia. Di Inggris misalnya, lagu yang mana Guetta menggandeng penyanyi muda asal Kanada, Justin Bieber, tersebut langsung duduk di posisi puncak tangga lagu. Tak hanya itu, single ini juga sukses menempati peringkat ke-27 Hot 100 Billboard, sehari setelah 2U dirilis.

Mengusung genre pop EDM, 2U merupakan lagu pre-release dari album ketujuh Guetta. Kepada MTV, Guetta menyebut, single tersebut mengombinasikan unsur romantisisme dengan hentakan musik EDM. “Inilah yang kusuka. Aku suka membuat orang menari, namun dengan air mata di mata mereka,” katanya.
